Filthy filthy filthy on the inside

by motew82

Stayed here overnight for son’s visit to MMI. First impression: The place looks great on the outside. The lobby is immaculate and the lady at check-in was very pleasant. However, as soon as we got into the elevator we started to worry since the elevator floor was filthy with stains. Came to the 2nd floor to discover muddy looking stains everywhere on the floor and everything looked dated and unkept. The room was the last straw for us. The once white comforter was yellowish in spots and had various stains of unknown origin all over it. The wall adjacent to the bed had black stains similar to rub marks all over it. There was either a blood or feces stain on the curtain. Then there was the bathroom that looked like someone had jumped in the tub covered in mud and it was was never cleaned by staff complete with hand prints on the wall. The bathroom floor was in the same condition. I went downstairs and the new lady was super apologetic and gave me 2 keys for 2 different “clean” rooms to choose from. The next room I looked at was a little cleaner than the first but there was no ac in the room. Finally the last room I looked at was “okay” in relation to the others so we stayed there that night out of desperation since there’s no other lodging in the entire town. The breakfast the next day was good and again the staff was very pleasant. Bottom line- The rooms are hit and miss and the entire place upstairs is filthy. They just need a better cleaning crew. The staff downstairs was great otherwise I would given this hotel a 1-rating.

Drive somewhere else!

Ive had my crew at this hotel for 1 week today, the staff is friendly, and the place looks good,BUT!! The power goes out everytime it rains, then your ac doesnt work, you have some rooms with no power, some with partial power! The elevator breaks down almost every day!The lights blink, there goes the wifi! The pool is filthy!I dont understand how Choice hotels lets this go on and on??Not that old of a place, but look at the carpets and all the problems they have here, this will be a dump in a few more years! Next time we are working here,we will drive the 25 miles back and forth to another hotel!
