Surprisingly Restful Stay

by Ben_Theretoo406

Over the years, Ben has developed the idea that one can learn what a guy or company is made of when a little bump in the road comes along better and faster than years of perfect performance. When Ben and Mrs Too decided to spend a night in Kent Narrows, an area packed with the very best seafood houses in a rural community on the eastern shore of Chesapeake Bay, he booked at this Quality Inn. When he printed his confirmation, it plainly stated, right from the top, “NO ELEVATOR”. Oh, my!. We are both in our eighties, and poor Ben is not quite over his fractured femur. A call to the hotel, and a brief explanation of our problem brought out the best in the lady at the desk. In short order, she had cancelled the existing booking and replaced it with one, in her words, guaranteeing a room on the first floor. All of that despite the fact that the reservation was non-cancellable. Now how about that for customer service?

We were checked in a little early, and found a perfectly acceptable room in a spic and span building with all of the in room amenities and accouterments one expects in today’s market.

We went out for a nice dinner and came back ready for a good night’s sleep, which is exactly what we got. The hotel is less than a block off of US Route 50, and carries considerable intercity trucking, but we never heard a sound until morning. Except for the fact that we can never seem to get used to these big puffy pillows now so prevalent, we could not have asked for more. Breakfast was buffet style, with waffles, pastry, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruit. All in all, everything one can expect from a drive-by hotel.

Very User Friendly Experience

We were in Grasonville for a Memorial Service and enjoyed the very comfortable beds and friendly service at the Quality Inn. It was very accessible and the outlet shopping and nearby seafood restaurants were very good.
