The villas are fitted with ceiling fans, private balconies, flat screen televisions, writing desks, and modern bathrooms. All-inclusive packages are available, and the buffet-style restaurant provides a wide array of international delicacies. The onsite dive center gives guests the opportunity to explore the colorful reef surrounding the private island.

Eriyadu Island resort, Maldives

by 26Regan

The resort is small - you can walk across it in 10 mins, or swim round the outside of the coral reef in about 2 hours. There are sandy paths through the palm trees, and lots of little beaches, all with stunning views. all paths however, lead to the lovely little beach bar, where you can sit and sip your cool beer on the dazzling white shore. We used to swim half way round the island outside the reef, and end up coming in to the beach bar through one of the four cleared passages ( marked by buoys ) through the reef. The water is lovely and clear, so snorkelling is great, with all colours and sizes of fish. There are nurse sharks and black tipped reef sharks to be seen, neither of which are dangerous to swimmers. The nurse sharks are particularly tame, and you can swim safely right next to them. The reef coral was badly damaged by "El Nino" ( rise in temperature ), but the coral is starting to grow back everywhere, and the dead reef still seems to be used as a refuge by the reef dwelling fish. We went in May, and although it was hot, the sea breezes and the shady palms offset the heat ( and of course the air con in the rooms provided a cool retreat if required ) There was a lovely little thatched hut at the end of a short pier, built out into the sea, where you could sit and read in the shade, with the sea breeze keeping you cool. Magic. We found the rooms fine, and the room service good. Ask for extra water as the two small bottles you get a day don't go far in the heat.

Eriyadu Island resort smartline north malè atoll

Eriyadu Island resort or smartline Eriyadoo is a beautiful atoll of north malè. We are lucky because there no rain in two weeks that we are staying in this resort. The resort is very clear. The staff is very kind. I love this place and this turtle points view.
