So yes... this was our resort in Koh Tao island and probably, no... FOR SURE, It’s one of the most amazing hotels we’ve been to!!
It all started so cool, because we took a small plane from Bangkok airport to a really small island near Koh Tao and then we took a boat to get there! And first thing they tell you is to take your shoes off and not wear them during your stay. That was the best!! It's their philosophy, "No news, No shoes" One less thing to worry about!!
The rooms where like taken out of a movie, the most beautiful rooms we've ever seen and the best part is that they where basically surrounded by the nature. The views were also amazing, our room had ocean views and also a private beach in front.
One of our favorite things was the food, of course... there was a lot of variety and their majority of products are their own. There was also a chocolate room that was open 24 hours!!! our favorite room!
We highly recommend Soneva Kiri, once you are there you feel like home, you don't wanna leave!! The treat there is so nice! And also there are plenty of activities to do!
When I was searching to get away from it all, Soneva Kiri came to mind. Booked 6 nights! I loved the resort eco friendly resort. From not using plastic water bottles to having its own garden. Best meal was from Chef Benz! I suggest don't eat till dinner, most flavorful food i have had in my life from Benz. I enjoyed my daily fresh fruit and teas at breakfast. North beach is beautiful beach to have lunch and enjoy( like having your own beach) From arrival to departure, the staff was welcoming with true hospitality. It was a pleasure to meet the original GM who opened the resort, Mr. Antony. I will visit Soneva resorts in the Maldives in the near future. No News No Shoes
