Formerly the Soneva Kiri by Six Senses, this private Thai resort is just an hour’s flight from Bangkok. Luxurious villas with one- to six-bedrooms are available, each with private pool, fully equipped kitchens, fitness rooms, and private villa accommodations for families. En suite bathrooms include indoor and outdoor showers, and guests will have electric buggies to use around the resort. Some villas include water slides, some with game rooms, and all with DVD players, BOSE stereo systems for iPod docking stations, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffee makers. The six-bedroom villa even features a children’s tree house, accessible via the master bedroom, with bunk beds and a private deck. Villas can be found with bay views, beach front, Cliffside or ocean views.
Guests of Soneva Kiri enjoy a number of complimentary amenities. A weekly sunset cocktail part, homemade ice cream, cooking demonstrations, Thai language classes, personal bicycles, eco-tours, non-motorized water sports, personal butlers and more. Kids can enjoy the Children’s Den and Eco Den with a year-round, included kids’ program. The Eco Den is for children ages 1 to 5, and the Den is for children ages 5 to 12. Family activities include Cinema Paradiso outdoor movies, private sunset cruises, father and son fishing trips, mother and daughter spa time, and family cooking classes. Onsite dining overlooks the resort’s private beach from The View, The Dining Room and So Spirited, and tropical foliage abounds in Benz and special tree pod private dining in treehouses.
