Excellent place in a stunning location

by diveintomalaysia

We just finished our stay here with our 3 kids aged 3 - 9 and had an excellent time.
This lodge is well presented and a higher standard and more comfortable than photos we saw beforehand made it seemed. We stayed in two rooms and they had a great living area between them with unbeatable river views.
The whole place could not be in a more stunning location with beautiful views everywhere. It is easily accessible from Puerto Maldonado and it made for the perfect break for us with our kids to see the rainforest and river with comfort and ease.
The food is great and it was nice to feel so well looked after.

Great time in Puerto Maldonado

by MajuKL

We stayed 3 nights with my family ( 2 small children) at Sotupa and had a very nice experience. Jean-Pierre ( he is Peruvian ..despite the French name) made our stay even more enjoyable by always being available and full of advise on how to get the most of our time in the area. On the first day we visited Puerto Maldonado and went fishing piranhas ..quite an experience !! On the second day we had a full day excursion at Lake Sandoval where we were enough to see the caimans, monkeys and other topical species of the region. Everything had been arranged by Sotupa with professional drivers and tourism agencies. Food at Sotupa was also an experience made of typical fruits and vegetables from the garden. All in all a great stay with a great host that I strongly recommend.
