Stellar Staff and Stay

by mary c

You won't be disappointed with the amenities this hotel has to offer for the price. From check-in to check-out the service was spectacular. It's evident that the staff is well managed. A huge Thank you to both Rose and Monica for making our stay so pleasant. We used the pool area which is very well kept and truly feels like home. The beds are super comfy including the pull out which is actually a bed, not a couch. Unlike other hotels, our family of 4 was very comfortable. It's also very quiet considering the proximity to the airport. The free breakfast buffet was awesome! This is our new go to hotel when in the Sarasota area!

DON'T DRINK FROM THE GLASSES IN THE ROOM!!!

by bluegrassbabe

Good location, hotel update looks nice, BUT, The hotel inside feels dark, not light and bright; same as in the rooms.

The breakfast was very disappointing. There were very few selections available. The fresh fruit (strawberries and pineapple) were old and very unappealing. The strawberries had dark spots, and the pineapple looked unappetizing. The 3 bananas available, were very brown, and should have been in the garbage. Plus, they only serve fruit on weekdays, I was told on Saturday.

The "best" part is that the glasses provided in the room had visible lip prints on them, even though they were the "clean" ones in the unsealed plastic. Ugh! I immediately went down to the desk, told the nightperson, and she said, "Oh, just get some of the paper cups over there," pointing to the paper coffee cups.

Additionally, the 2 USB plugs bedside, did not work. The room itself, was dark, the bathroom fan was loud, there was barely enough room to sit in the very hard desk chair and be able to move (I am a small person.)

The beds were very uncomfortable, as well. Plus, the room doors close very loudly.

Would I stay at Springhill Suites again? Absolutely not! I will be telling my friends about my experience, however. This was a first and last time for us. We checked out early.
