Hidden Gem

Spent a four-day weekend at the Stardust. Very clean and excellent location to the lakeside and shops. We came to Tahoe for the hikes. The lodge is conveniently located to several great trails within either walking distance or by car. Easy check-in and out and the staff is very helpful. Morning snack offerings leave much to be desired but with all the restaurants and cafes nearby, there are many options from which to choose. Would definitely return!

STARDUST LODGE - A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

When you drive up to this lodge it throws you back in time with the nostalgic Stardust Sign. Always a friendly greeting from the staff and we know just about all of them and feel like they are an extension of our family when we stay here...Jessica, Victor, Emely, Luis, Laura at the front desk...Martha or Elizabeth in activities or Arnolfo Sr and Jr if you have a maintenance question. Thank you Kenny, GM for running a great home away from home for us. There are more and Im sorry if I didn't put your name here.
There are activities you can get involved with every day if you want to meet your fellow travelers or just have a little fun...tie-die t-shirts; bingo; wine and cheese meet and greet; paint a bird house. The swimming pool is warm year round and the hot tub fun, even in the snow. Breakfast food in activity room every morning 7-9...get fruit, boiled eggs, pastries, coffee, tea or cocoa! Eat in activities room or take back for breakfast in bed ;-) Bicycles are available to check out during good weather and outdoor ping-pong and fire-pit is near the pool area. You can hang out and read a book or get out and have some fun...all a walk away.

Next: Park your car and walk to all you could want to do!!! Across the street is Heavenly Gondola and if you want ton ski Heavenly you can buy your ticket and walk less than a block and you're headed up the slopes. Or if you don't ski...there's a theater across the street along with many shops and restaurants. In the winter is ice skating rink across the street! Also, so many beautiful hiking trails or short walk to Lake Tahoe. Love this place!
