Great hotel and customer service

by gosomeplace

We spent 4 nights at this hotel as my sister recommended it to me. It's in a great location, 1.5 miles from a great bike trail that can either go to the Garden of the Gods or downtown Colo. Springs. There are also plenty of restaurants close by and the Air Force Academy. Very large rooms. The General Mgr , Scott Duarte was so helpful in recommending bicycle trails and things to do. They provide a dinner on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday and a hot breakfast every morning. They have at least two people working the breakfast area, always keeping food replenished, always cleaning and very nice. My only complaint is there is a railroad tracks behind the hotel that is active and the cable tv froze up a bit.

The furniture in the room needed to be replaced. Has only a sleeper sofa for seating, with worn upholstery with tears. Definitely needs at least one other chair if there were 4 people in the room.
It's the first Staybridge we've stayed at which does not have wine and beer with the dinners. Not a problem, but just different, especially since in another Staybridge we asked about why they don't choose to serve local wine/beer and were told it's so customers always know what to expect.
