Two very huggable Saint Bernards, Otto and Louise, are the welcoming committee for The Summit Lodge. Just off the access road to Killington, minutes from the slopes, the hotel features two restaurants, two swimming pools including one that’s heated year-round, a spacious hot tub, and clay tennis courts. The 45 units include family rooms and suites that sleep up to six people. Also on premises is the Saint’s Pub, a popular apres-ski watering hole.

Service above and beyond

by Julie M

We attended a wedding at Summit Lodge in July and had a great time. The rooms are fairly basic ski lodge, but the common spaces, outdoor space, and service were excellent. We enjoyed all of the outdoor games and the pool during our stay, especially with our ~2.5 yo son.

The thing that takes it over the top is the service we received after our departure. After we returned home, we realized that we were missing a somewhat unique/beloved toddler t-shirt. When I contacted the lodge about this, they kindly looked in their lost & found and located the t-shirt. For a small fee, they mailed the shirt to me that day. We were lucky that the shirt was still there, but I felt they went above and beyond in searching for the shirt and corresponding so promptly with me about it.

Far from great

In one word: outdated. I can only speak to the section we stayed in (room 2): in my estimate it was built in the 50s and the fixtures have not been updated since. The bed is probably newer - no more than 10 years old... no screens on the windows... AC? One of those really noisy portable AC units taking a good chunk of space. Nice balcony with a beautiful view of the mountain and the serene grounds. Pity we could not enjoy a morning cup of coffee or a beer there because there are no chairs or a table. What a waste!
Overall - poor value for the $152 we paid. Would not recommend.
