Overview

Another of Jerome’s beautiful bed and breakfast inns, the Surgeon’s House is set in the middle of lush, beautiful gardens where you can stroll around and relax. There are very limited accommodation options, but families who need multiple rooms will be most comfortable in the Maid’s Suite, which has two adjoining bedrooms and a sitting area. Note that rooms do not include televisions, though there is free Wi-Fi.

The owners do request that you discuss it with them beforehand if you’d like to bring children under 15. They prefer to keep the property quiet and peaceful, so it’s not an ideal environment for energetic youngsters. However, they do sometimes make exceptions for well-behaved little ones.

A buffet breakfast is served every morning at 8:30, and complimentary snacks and beverages are available throughout the day.

Out of this world place to stay

by Jellybeandean

I can not compliment any B&B more than this experience. We had a wonderful room with a balcony that allowed you to see all the way to New Mexico. Ok not quite that far. Our hostess prepares a breakfast that is beyond explanation. Do not expect ham and eggs or a waffle. However your taste buds will have quite an experience. The room, house and grounds are so relaxing and quite that one can easily fall asleep in a chair outside. Worth twice the price.

Best Place to Stay in Jerome

My wife and I spent two nights at Surgeon's House.

Where to start? Andrea is a great host and will immediately makes you feel at home.

We stayed in Maid's Room Back. The room was comfortable. It didn't have a view, but no problem. It had a private patio and direct access to the garden.

The garden is expansive, magical, and private. A great place to hang out with a bottle of wine and some cheese enjoying the view of the valley.

The house itself is fun to explore. The walls are covered with historic pictures, newspaper articles, and documents which tell the story of Jerome and the Surgeon's house. There is too much to absorb in one visit. We need to go back to see everything we missed.

You will never experience a breakfast like this. The food is delicious and the dishes will surprise you (in a good way). The atmosphere is informal and intimate. You may make some new friends.

In short, it's the ONLY place to stay in Jermore.
