These spacious log cabins in the heart of historic Talkeetna are perfectly set up for families. Two of the cabins feature two queen beds and one twin bed, with loads of extra space in the living room and fully equipped kitchen. Bigger families can book the log home that sleeps up to eight guests in three bedrooms. Every cabin is clean and comfortable, and has additional amenities such as satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and coin-operated laundry.
Talkeetna Cabins is located in a quiet area just minutes from historic downtown. Step out your back door into the forest and you are a short walk from the impressive Susitna River, a popular fishing and rafting river. Step out your front door and you have a variety of shops and restaurants available, including the Talkeetna Roadhouse, an old haunt of miners and trappers that serves a memorable breakfast. Kids will love visiting the Talkeetna Historical Museum to see real relics from an earlier age. Just walking through the charming little town will send you back in time. Stop in at Nagley’s General Store, which has been supplying travelers for nearly a century. There are a number of tour companies in town to get your family set up on a Denali National Park adventure, from landing on a glacier to photographing moose and bears. With its prime downtown location and authentic log cabin decor, the Talkeetna Cabins is an ideal place to spend your family vacation to Alaska.
