Beautiful place but a bit of rip off

by Rachael L

I loved the hotel decor, the room was great and the staff were helpful BUT...as breakfast is not included you have to order a la carte. I had French toast and an orange juice which came in a very small glass and was rather bitter. To my shock, when the bill came this small glass of not great orange juice was $12 which is obscene. I went and sat in the lounge bar and waited to order my drink. Bearing in mind you pay 17.5% service I was told they didn’t come and take your order, you had to come to the bar. Despite the very expensive drinks list they do not offer any nibbles to have with drinks which is poor. I was here for work so had to check out first thing but my flight was not until the evening. When I came back to collect my bags I asked if it was ok to go for a swim and get changed in the spa facilities. When I went down there I was told I had to pay $25 for a day pass. Despite having spent more than $1500 over my 2 day stay. All in all this place could be great if they didn’t try and fleece you at every turn. Honeymoon trip - Perfect!!!!

by Saradeto1

The Loren was the most magical honeymoon we could have asked for. People waiting on us hand and foot, the desk arranged our excursions and taxis. We waited on a couch while they checked us in! Unbelievable service, views, food, etc. etc. I loved our time at the Loren and HIGHLY recommend it! Quiet and peaceful and tucked away. Perfect spot!
