We stayed here for two months after moving here from out of state while our new house was finishing construction in the metro area. Our room was a one-bedroom suite with two separate living areas. There was bountiful space and we had no problem storing the belongings that we had brought with us for temporary living and things that the movers would not pack and load. And the management has a welcoming pet policy that allowed our small dog to stay economically.
The best thing about the property by far, was the quality of the hospitality staff. They treated us with great respect and always tried to resolve any problems that might arise, even conflicts with other guests. The general manager, Silk Higer is very professional and runs the place well. It is apparent that the staff enjoys working together here. We enjoyed the hot deluxe well attended breakfast every day, the cold AC in the summer, and the plentiful water pressure. Housekeeping was reasonably good but it did vary considerably with who was scheduled that day. Maintenance work orders were acted upon very promptly.
The negatives were relatively minor, but the very firm mattresses made the stay a bit uncomfortable. I spoke with the management about this and was told that the beds are specified by Marriott, which supported my experience at a Fairfield Inn & Suites that I had stayed in recently in another state. Granted, mattress firmness is a very subjective factor which can vary considerably by guest. Also, the hotel is located near a very busy intersection south of I-84 at Eagle Road and Overland. Getting out of the hotel to Eagle Road and onto the interstate is a bit challenging as you have to exit behind the hotel and turn left onto Overland. Some drivers will have issues with the heavy (and aggressive) traffic at this area. And the noise at this intersection was noticeable from the wannabe pickup trucks, the stinger exhaust subcompact cars, and the obnoxious motorcycles. Finally there were no chairs in the bedroom, only the living area.
Overall the stay was very good, with the exception of the very firm beds but I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This place was perfect for me and my daughters to get away for a mom and daughter night. It was more than I expected with accommodations to make us want to come back soon. Highly recommend everything from the room, breakfast and staff were all amazing. Thanks Kayla M. Your place rocks.
