Comfortable stay

by biztravelerChicago

Had a very nice stay here for one night three years ago, so opted to stay again for a week's visit to the area. On the plus side, the hotel personnel are still some of the nicest I've ever encountered in a hotel, the bed is comfortable, the shower is good, and the kitchenette is well equipped. Breakfast is the usual fare -- eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, muffins and breads/bagels -- but (nice touch!), it's available until 10 am during the week. On the minus side, the hotel is a little overdue for some TLC. Carpets are overdue for cleaning, scuffs on the walls need retouching, drains drain a little slowly. That said, though, I'd stay again for the comfortable bed, quiet location away from the highway and main drag, and the kind staff.

Dirty!

I'm not sure what happened here after reading reviews stating rooms were clean, but this place is dirty! Carpets in hallways and suite 301 desperately need cleaning. Shower curtain is slimy. Not up to Marriott standards. Will not be staying here again. Overpriced!
