Houskeeping issues

by SusanB324

We had the opportunity to stay at your hotel from 9/23-9/26/19. Our first impressions were very positive. However there were several issues with housekeeping. On Friday Sept. 27 we requested at 10:30 AM that our room be cleaned in the next couple of hours. We got back at 1:30 PM to an unclean room. We made the request thru the housekeeping supervisor. We then talked to the same women and requested our room be clean after 3PM that day. She said she did not have anyone available. After some discussion she agreed to clean the room herself.

When we returned it was apparent she just replaced some of the towels, and no replacement soap, shampoo etc. That continued every day that we were short towels.

The on Saturday we returned from a wedding at about 9PM with something to eat. We decided to warm our sandwiches in the microwave. We opened the microwave door to find an very old and stinky egg cheese and English muffin sand. We immediately removed it and put in the garbage outside our room. We then cleaned the very stinky microwave! This sandwich had to be there before we checked in on Thursday 9-26-29. So no one in housekeeping bothered to check and or clean the microwave our entire stay.

Then there was the raucous party outside right below our window on Saturday night. We assumed the party would stop at 10PM. Nope it continued until we finally called down after 11PM and we complained. They finally stopped the party after 11PM . Then at 8 AM there is the leaf blower guy blowing all the cigarette butts into the parking lot. That happened 2 days in a row.

FYI. We sent an email to acting GM and had no response.

Traveling with a dog? Beware

by meredith4345

We are traveling across country with our small dog. I booked here because they are “dog friendly with a possible fee” That fee was $75!!! The sign on the check-in desk said ‘sanitation fee’. I questioned the amount as we have been paying $25 and thought he was joking, he said it’s because they have to do extra cleaning after a pet leaves. Ok....we head up to our room; every place I looked was dirty: carpet, tile, floor boards, elevator, walls, etc. I’m guessing with how dirty the floors were in the room that no “extra” cleaning will be done. This hotel was definitely not what one would expect from a Marriott hotel standard. I would never stay here again if I was in the area. If you wish to stay here and you have a pet, the charge is almost as much for the pet as the rate for the room. Don’t say you weren’t forewarned and you take reviews with a grain of salt when you make a decision about staying at this establishment.
