We needed to relocate from a different hotel property which was clearly in need of cleaning and addressing other disagreeable issues. I walked into the lobby of this property and was greeted by the evening manager Mike, who listened to my situation and immediately offered to show me one of his rooms. My husband and I were able to quickly vacate the other accommodations and move into this TownPlace Suites. Much like other TownPlace Suites we've stayed in this one was spotless, friendly, recently updated and provided the restful sanctuary we needed after a busy day. The manager provided extra towels for us at check-in due to a recent rainstorm and the next morning the day managers continued the genuine friendliness and interest in all the guests.
Breakfast was typical fare ..but served fresh, hot and very good! This staff should be so very proud of how they manage the property and make guests feel so welcome. Thank you all for being our "port in a storm"!
I stayed at this Towneplace Suite in Clearwater Florida for one night. I stayed in an updated room. It was nice enough. Like most Marriott properties, the TVs are both standard large screen TVs and also have some streaming apps like Netflix, Crackle, Youtube, Pandora, in season movies and I guess bluetooth, to connect to your phone or a computer. I forgot to check, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you can insert a USB stick to play music or videos/movies as well.
The kitchenette is nice with small full-size refrigerator, a two burner stovetop, a microwave and a dishwasher. Since I was there on business, I did not use it for a kitchenette much other than to stick a few water bottles in the refrigerator so I could have cold water to drink.
The breakfast was good. The eggs were suspect but the rest was good. I have no complaints. This is a much more updated hotel than the Residence Inn next door. They have a pool and a workout room. I used neither this time. I would happily recommend this hotel for travelers. The internet was fast enough for me. They are under new management. It’s been about a year so far for them. I wish them the best of luck.
