Overview

Enjoy a magical “glamping” experience in California’s Big Sur with Treebones luxury camping. The resort offers a number of accommodation styles, including a one-of-a-kind cocoon-shaped tent with a private deck, outdoor fire pit and unparalleled views of the Pacific Ocean. With 500 square feet of indoor space, guests will find a king-sized bed with linens, gas fireplace, en suite bathroom and a sitting area. Another offering is a ‘human nest”made of woven sticks and branches. Guests are required to bring their own sleeping bags for this style, which requires a short climb up a ladder and include a futon mattress. However, the majority of accommodations are the resort’s yurts, which feature queen-sized beds, a sink, and decks. Guests of the yurts, as well as the campsites on property, are welcome to use the onsite restrooms and showers. A central lodge features indoor dining and drinks from 4:30 to 8:30, Wednesday through Sunday. A heated pool and hot tub with ocean views stands near the resort’s spa, where guests can enjoy massage treatments.

Perfect for our mini-moon!

My husband and I stayed at Treebones for two nights right after our wedding. It couldn't have been a more perfect place to unwind, reflect and chill together after our big day. We stayed in Yurt 16 and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The Yurt was complete with a fireplace to keep us warm during the windy nights—and very clean. We caught the sunset at the restaurant both nights and enjoyed delicious meals and wine. We would definitely recommend—and hope to be back soon.
