Great Place to stay in the Sacred Valley

by mountaincivic

Villa Urubamba may not have phone or TV in the rooms, but it is a gem in the sacred valley. The rooms are large and comfortable. Wif works well just sitting out front of your room while enjoying the beautiful courtyard. There is a restaurant on site and a bar with a large TV for viewing in the evening if needed. At dinner a local flute player entertained people throughout dinner. The courtyard grounds are beautifully landscaped and helps put you in a zen kind of mood.

The room does include the breakfast buffet served in the restaurant in the morning. They do provide laundry services on site which is we found very helpful since we were half way through out trip and needed to have laundry done.
The staff is very helpful

Lovely gardens but beetles in the room

The big surprise is the dirt track leading to the hotel... Not what you expect!
The rooms are huge with an enormous double bed and a nice bathroom.
The restaurant has a good menu - even some reasonable veggie options.
Wine is VERY expensive!
It may be a quiet location at the moment but there is a new block being built, which will more than double the number of rooms...
Our room had lots of little black beetles running around - I found at least 15 in the bathroom, which got flushed away...
As we were only staying one night we didn't complain, but if we were staying longer I would have complained...
