Overview

Located near Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resorts, this hotel is perfect for the ski family. Dining, shopping and plenty of winter activities are within steps of the Village at Squaw Valley. Standard guestrooms, studio suites and one-, two- and three-bedroom suites are offered to guests. The multi-bedroom suites feature a full kitchen, fireplace, dishwasher and microwave. A spacious living room with a sleeper sofa and dining table are also featured in the suites. Heated slate tiles will keep feet warm in the bathroom and kitchen, too. The three-bedroom suite can accommodate up to eight people and a washer and dryer can be found in the unit.

Overpriced Stores

The village is a great place to walk and perhaps enjoy a coffee, drink and/or appetizer. The stores, however, are highly priced. I could not even find a reasonably priced souvenir to take home from my trip.

ABSOLUTELY NOT HAPPY WITH THE POOR LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CUSTOMER ADVOCACY EVER!!! THE WORSE!!

I had to give this experience ONE STAR in order to submit this review! It was the WORSE SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE booking through Getaroom.com. Literally within 3 hours of booking reservation, I called to change the reservation to a later date DUE TO the news reporting that there was an impeding SNOW STORM expected to hit the Squaw Valley resort area and ALL ROADS to the Resort were closed! When I called in to Getaroom.com to explain the news I just heard and to request only travel credit for the reservation-not a refund for money back, I was told by a representative from Getaroom.com to call back on the CHECK-IN DAY to see if there was anything that can be done at that time. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? It is now 8 MONTHS after the fact, and I am still getting passed back and forth between Getaroom.com, a 3rd -party online travel agent and the Squaw Valley Resort about getting a REFUND! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
