We have a new site, a new logo and — get this — we’re finally mobile-friendly! (We know we’re a little late — can you forgive us?)

How It All Began

A woman named Kathleen loved to travel and see the world. She loved it so much, she started the first online travel forum back in 1990 (cue that scratchy dial-up sound). As Kathleen checked off her bucket list, she also checked off a few other life milestones, including getting married and having kids. Suddenly her needs changed. This independent traveler at heart now had to think about visiting places that appealed to her whole family. She cared about finding things her kids could do, and how she could still have fun, too. Enter Family Vacation Critic, launched in 2008 to help families like Kathleen’s travel easier (check out our first story ever!).

Who We Are Today

We have a new look, but the rest has stayed the same. We continue to focus on being your most trusted go-to family travel resource, growing with your family as your kids ages and interests change, providing you with the tips and advice needed to plan, pack for, and enjoy vacations near and far.
