Overview

The most fun thing about this Westin hotel overlooking the Gibson Guitar Factory is that you can borrow a Gibson at the front desk for your kids to play in your room. You have your choice of electric or acoustic, and if the kids want to go with electric, don’t fret about the noise. They can plug the guitar into headphones provided with the guitar so they’re free to jam all they want without giving you (or the people in the room next door) a headache.

The inn has 203 guestrooms, including 27 suites. Each room has a coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee and a flat-screen cable TV with in-room video games. There’s no extra charge for cribs or rollaway beds, although there is a fee for wireless high-speed Internet. The hotel allows you to bring your pet (for an extra fee). Valet parking is available (also for an extra fee). Ask about joining the free Westin Kids Club to receive various goodies such as coloring books with crayons, small toys, and cards.

The hotel’s restaurant, Blue, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and connects to the neighboring Starbucks. The hotel is only one block from the downtown trolley.

Westin is a worldwide hotel that features more than 30 specifically family-friendly resorts with exclusive amenities for kids. Learn more about Westin Hotels and Resorts, read Westin Hotels and Resorts.

Looking forward to checking it out next time I come to Memphis. If you are plannning on visiting ARK this is also a good place because you are close to the bridge.

Great Location on Beale Street!

by Amy B

We stayed two nights in this hotel. I recommend asking for a room with a higher floor due to Beale Street noise. This hotel looks directly over Beale Street. Property is well maintained, and comfortable rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful.
