The Wigwam Motel is an iconic spot preserved by the National Park Service and located along Route 66 in Holbrook, Arizona. Staying here is more about the experience and less about the quality of accommodations. Families stay in actual teepees, where the basics include private bathrooms (showers only) and TVs. Be sure to have your photo taken with the vintage cars that are permanently placed on the property. Fun Fact: The Wigwam Motels (there are other locations) are said to be the inspiration for the Cozy Cone Motel in Disney’s “Cars.”

This was a must stop place for us. Easy check in and friendly staff. The wig wams are surprisingly spacious inside and comfortable bed. Keep in mind that you are NOT paying for a bunch of amenities. You are paying to stay in a piece of history. Very memorable place.
Looks better from the outside. Everything is a bit dated and needs modernised. Beds were comfortable enough and linen nice and soft. Air con was extremely noisy. Smallest bathroom ever, shower floor was a bit grubby
