Roaches. So. Many. Roaches.

by StephanieBScentsy

Thinking about staying somewhere in or near Little Rock, Arkansas soon? I chose WoodSpring Suites for my stay. Let me tell you about it.
The lobby is a hole in a wall. No chairs. The guy- Steve- who checked me in- nice enough guy. In fact, I don't really have anything bad to say about the staff that I have interacted with. Nice. Not overly helpful, but not rude at all. Nice, & friendly people.
We get to the room... First thing I notice is that there is like nowhere to put clothes. There is 1 dresser with 3 shallow drawers that the TV is on. That's it. Not enough drawer space for my mom & I to unpack for our 11 night stay. This is an EXTENDED STAY HOTEL, yet no room for clothes. Then they have this bar to hang clothes.... 3 hangers. No curtains on the windows. Just blinds. No chance at a dark room at 7am. We did get a room with a stove top, microwave, & full fridge. The microwave can not be used by any person shorter than 5'9", it sits at the same height as the top of the fridge. The fridge doesn't open all the way because it's jammed against the wall so tight.
Bathroom: 2 towels, 2 washcloths, 1 bath mat. The sink has no extra counter space around the sink. There is a shelf above the one and only towel rack behind the toilet- that is also about 6 feet off the ground. No hooks- nothing. No place at all to hang a hand towel, your bath towel or robes.
Beds: sheet set, blanket, top cover sheet, 2 crappy pillows per bed.
1 small table, 2 metal & plastic chairs.
No lamps anywhere. No blow dryer. No iron. No extra roll of toilet paper. No toiletries. Forget coffee maker. Lol. 1 small bar of soap. No TV guide or instructions on how to use the remotetv. No phone book, or "local guide". No phone. No ice maker or ice trays in the freezer. Nothing in the Kitchenette to assist in making food in any way. No art on the walls. Beds aren't attached to anything so they move. Walls are paper thin. They won't give you extra towels & if you want any of your towels or linens washed you have to pay extra.
BUT WAIT! I HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN TO THE GOOD PART YET!! Had this been the only issues- I'd have given 3 stars & moved on. But noooo.
Night 4 of our stay we get to the hotel after a long day, walk in our room to find all of our stuff- covered in ROACHES. Not like 1 or 2. Tons. Like hang out & pose for pictures quantity. In the drawers. In the bed. On our bags. Everywhere. So I call the front desk (from my cell phone). Ashley is sweet. She gets that I am grossed out. Tells me they only have 1 double room left, & I can come down get a key & check it out. If it won't work the only other options are to split us up into separate rooms.
I go check out the room. I find only 1 dead roach, so we agree to move.
I go back to the front desk, & let them know it is acceptable. I also let them know only 1 of the beds is made. The other just has the linens sitting on it. As they kinda seem frustrated that whoever was supposed to make the bed didn't make the bed... And talked about it a little... But didn't offer anything else, I said I would just make it. They were just fine with that. No offers to help us move rooms. No offers to finish making the bed or make sure the room was clean. Whatever.
I go to #RoachRoom & help mom finish packing. We moved rooms between 11:30-12:30 that night. When we got to the new room, I started making the bed & realized there were no blankets, just sheets. So as mom showers off the ickiness of the #RoachRoom I go back downstairs to get a blanket. But they are closed. They close at 10pm. So I have to call corporate, who calls the night attendant- Steve who comes & brings me a blanket. He says "I thought you said there was stuff on the bed" I replied "I was looking for roaches, I didn't stop to inventory the bedding. I didn't realize I was supposed to at the time"
Back to the room. Mom is getting out of the shower. I look in just in time to see "Rock out with your cock out" written in the steam on the mirror from the previous tenant. Mom points out the mold all over the toilet. Eewww.
Next day she washes all our laundry... $2.00 wash. $2.25 to dry. Not one single chair or table to fold clothes on in their "laundry room"

Pretty much everything is stored in the fridge now. This place is NASTY. #WoodSpringsSuites shouldn't be allowed to charge anyone to stay in these conditions.

So... That's my review. I can't share pictures on their Facebook page... ???? I wish I could share the VIDEO of the roaches CRAWLING IN MY BED.

Smoke alarms going off

by justinCmclean

Cant cook, take a hot shower, or even smoke a cigarette in their "smoking" room without the smoke detector going off. 6 times in 1 week we had to leave the room for more than 20 to 40 mins while the loud noise from the detector going off. And they wont silence it until the fire department comes and checks the room. Very uncomfortable stay at this location.
