Overview

This beachfront resort overlooks the Gulf of Mexico, Pier 60 and the intercoastal marina. Opened in 2017, this Wyndham Grand is centrally located in Clearwater Beach and not far from the airport or Busch Gardens Tampa. Families will love being just a few steps away from the white sugary soft sand of Clearwater Beach, where there are lounge chairs and cabanas available to guests. The outdoor heated pool is also fun for kids, while the spa is a fantastic place for adults to unwind. The onsite restaurants offer both a casual vibe and resort casual dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus, the hotel is within walking distance to several other area restaurants.

The best part about this hotel? The Winter the Dolphin-themed guestrooms! The Wyndham Grand Clearwater is in partnership with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, home to Winter, star of the Dolphin Tales movies. The hotel offers several themed guestrooms where Winter and Mavis the Sea Turtle are featured. Kids will love these guestrooms that also offer bunk beds! Spacious guestrooms and suites, minus the marine life theme, are also available and include a mini-fridge and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Whether your family is a fan of the Dolphin Tales movies or just wants to walk to the beach and have fun at the pool, we highly recommended a stay at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach Resort.

Keep coming back

The perfect hotel for us - traveling with two teens (15 and 17). Tha hotel is located close to the pier and beachwalk. The staff is always serviceminded and do their best to help out. Spaceous rooms, cleaned every day and fine products in the bathroom/WC. Very comfortable beds!
The breakfast is great and the staff that served us is the best!
Poolarea is clean and a lot of sunbeds with restrooms nearby. Always clean with paper and soap.
The only thing I lack is a handheld shower. Hope to be back again within a year or so...

Family Activities

Pool
The outdoor heated pool is situated in the center of the horseshoe-shaped property. Lounge chairs, cozy couches and umbrellas surround the area, along with a couple of fire pit areas. The poolside restaurant Dock’s is situated next to the pool and poolside service is available. Restrooms can be found by the pool and pool towels are provided. There are no lifeguards on duty. The pool is open from sunrise to sunset. Locked gates surround the pool area and your wristband keycard is needed to open each gate.

In the summer months and during spring break holidays, pool activities are always taking place. Things like sponge races, giant bubbles, music and games occur throughout the day. At night, family-friendly movies are also shown by the pool during the summer months.

Beach
The bright, white sugary soft sand and warm Gulf of Mexico waters are just steps away from the resort. The public beach is located directly across the street from the resort. Lounge chairs, umbrellas and cabanas are available (from sunrise to sunset) to resort guests at no additional charge. Lifeguards are on duty at the beach during peak season.

Pier 60 and Beach Walk
The beach walk is a half-mile long waterfront, paved promenade. It’s situated in front of the resort and offers a great place for morning strolls or runs. Pier 60, which is within walking distance of the hotel, is a great place for some fishing during the day and at night, it is THE spot for a sunset celebration. Visit the Pier for an outstanding sunset along with street performers, music, craft vendors, food and more. A sandcastle playground area can also be found here with giant inflatable slides and playground equipment right in the sand.

Family Dining

Ocean Hai
The onsite Asian-American restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is an award-winning restaurant with pretty beach views, indoor and outdoor seating and private dining areas. A hot breakfast buffet and cook-to-order omelet station are available for breakfast. Things like eggs, waffles, quiche, bacon and more are available. The dinner menu offers things like sushi, seafood, noodles and more. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Dock’s

eSKPades
Situated in the lobby, just outside of Ocean Hai, families will find this coffee café and bar. Quick bites like pastries, sandwiches, yogurt and fruit can be found here, along with a full-service coffee bar. Coffee is served here until about 2 p.m., when eSKPades becomes more of a cocktail bar and lounge area. The café is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
