Not what i thought

by Alisa L

I am shocked this place was the #2 place to stay in Big Bear. I won’t stay there again. When i booked my room online the picture showed the lake right outside our room. That was not the case. We kind of had a view. Then we walk in. Now i get that cabin feel is an older feel. Wood paneling etc. I’m okay with that. Our room was so outdated and just not clean. Like it needed a deep clean. The carpet is old and had holes, our “whirlpool” tub (which i paid extra for) was gross. Gross as in it needs to be replaced. My husband said, I’m not getting in there . The bathroom is TINY!! This cabin was supposed to be for 4 people. Not a bathroom for 4 at all. The shower is so small that my 6’5 husband didn’t event fit. I’m 5’6 and not overweight and it was almost too small for me. They really need to spend some money to make it look nicer. The bathroom has old dust on it on the tile. Like caked on it. The kitchen is old and outdated. I was really disappointed and made i spent $186 a night there. Oh and if the heater goes on the unit must be right by the bedroom wall because it’s so loud it woke me up every time it went on. I was even wearing earplugs! So i ended up turning it completely off . And we were right by the road so cars going up and down we heard loud and clear. I’m normally not one to leave bad reviews but someone needs to know that this is not the place to stay at in big bear. I am giving it 2 stars because the location is great, and it was nice to have your own little cabin and not share walls with anyone. If they took time and money to update it , it would be great.

Can’t wait to come back

Attended a wedding what we thought was near by..(Twin Peaks, my fault).
Chose mostly because they were “pet friendly”. Was more than pleasantly surprised.
We felt terrible about arriving so late, but were able to check in at 2am with no complications.
Stayed in studio. Clean, private, great heater, super cute.
Wish we could have stayed another night. Will definitely be back.
