We had confirmed reservation from Holiday Inn site for Oct 16-19, 2019. Drove 9 hours and got to hotel at 6:00pm. Doors locked and all lights off. No sign on door. Others were also coming to the door. Had to drive another hour to Rapid City for acceptable hotel. Never had any notification that they were closing. Made servers attempts to get an explanation but never got one. Did get apology from IHG and 5,000 points but never heard how this could happen. IHG said several times I would hear from hotel but never did. Love IHG but would never stay at Custer holiday inn again. Terrible experience and worse customer service

We had already booked somewhere in Custer but when we arrived there was a notice on door saying closed. We called into the Holiday Inn Express and where very warmly welcomed. The place is very clean lovely warm welcoming fire and very pleasant reception staff. Would definitely recommend this place 5????s.....
