Overview

Trying to find a hotel room for a family can be tough in Europe, where rooms often only fit two people. This modern hotel is an exception, with spacious suites that have living room areas large enough for an additional bed or sleeper sofa. Decorated in modern Ikea-style furnishings, InterCity Hotel Kassel is located right next to the train station in the city of Kassel, where the Brothers Grimm spent most of their lives working as librarians. One unique perk: the hotel provides guests with a free local bus and train pass to explore the area. There’s also free parking and a lavish complimentary breakfast buffet each morning.

Good but very hot room

by Jessica E

The location is perfect near the station. We had a business room in the back so no noise from the tram and trains.
I found the room way too hot. There is no airco. The night was cool so we opened the window all night but if its outside 20 c there is no way to cool the room. I think it was 28 c or so in the bedroom.
The tv, shower, minibar, beds were good.
Price could be a bit less. I dont know why the selected date was much more expensive as all other days i see the price was much lower.
But the rate was included free transport for 2 days so it saved us a bit money.
For the rest i m satisfied. Would recommend the hotel.

YOU DON'T NEED ALARM CLOCK

by Culture33845141994

I book a quite room, and I stay at 11 am for check-in. There are no ready rooms becouse is too early!!! No problem! I said. I fullfill the check-in information and leave the suitcase. I hold several meetings and when I come back at 7pm, the hotel told me that the best room is for me. Remember 113. Just over the tram station. At 5 o'clock I wake up terrified if a tram had entered my room.
