Overview

Located 15 minutes from Key West International Airport on US Highway 1, Key West Bayside Inn & Suites is a good base for families looking to explore the island. Many of the rooms have water views, and your options here include one- and two-bedroom suites that come with a king bed and sleeper sofa or standard queen beds. A free continental breakfast is offered every morning to guests. There’s a heated outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. And pets are welcome, too.

The location puts you within walking distance of several bars and restaurants and just a bit farther afield for visiting Key West’s many highlights that include botanical gardens, spas, museums and, of course, the nightly sunset celebration at Mallory Square. Water sports operators are also within easy walking distance if you’re looking to get out on a boat to fish or go snorkeling, or head out on a kayak tour. You can rent paddleboards and fishing gear in the area, as well.

Fantastic hotel

The hotel was great, the staff is pleasant, the ocean view is great, no shuttle to Duval st. If you are planning a trip to key west definitely take a look at the hotel, it’s kinda far from Duval, but that could be a good thing because you won’t be woken up by the roosters.

Great rooms

We stayed there overnight. The rooms were exceptional and the beds and pillows were top notch. The showers were exactly what you would expect in a nice hotel. The only problem is that it is at the opposite end of the island from all the downtown action. However Key West is not a large place so it is no more than 10-15 minutes from downtown.
