Worn and Tied but Good Access to Riverchase area

by RPhTraveler

The motel is worn and tired looking but was surprisingly comfortable with a decent nightly rate much more reasonable for a quick business stay than other places in the greater Riverchase area. Free Breakfast had the basics. Past few nights had low temps and heater for the room was surprisingly efficient. Requested a wake-up call but couldn't get it because it turn out the phone didn't work in the room given me. Didn't realize this until the next day when woke up late and was late for a meeting. Front desk said it would be fixed, but by check-out a day later, the phone still not working. Never offered another room. Also surprisingly there was a decent selection of TV channels and the cable system was quite responsive - not the usual prolonged delays typical with Direct TV.

Fine for a night or two - Not a Quiet Location

by Stephen J

Spent two nights here to retrieve our RV that had blown its' engine the prior week, and so we had not intended to have to stay in hotels with our bird. She's quite comfortable traveling in the RV and behaved surprisingly well in the hotels. I was amazed at the number of "Pet Friendly" hotels that don't allow birds, finding this one, and one in south Nashville required calling over 20 hotels (Tip: you need to talk to the front desk and get a name, no matter what the online pet policy states).

The woman at the front desk was less than warm in her manner and attitude. My discussion with a male at the desk a few days prior had also indicated a dissatisfaction with his lot in life. I wrote training material and trained service reps, and this woman was not doing the hotel any favor other than being there. She did her job, stated her canned spiel, and disappeared in back.

The room (#102) was cleaned fairly well, and had been repaired/patched a couple of times (I did remodeling work). The cleaning wasn't great, because the corners in the bathroom all had a collection of dirt. The A/C worked fine, and by leaving the fan on the noise from outside was minimized.

The location was only 2 miles from out destination so convenience made it worth while.
