A great find!

by piambongfarm

After a gruelling trip from Denpasar airport, once Made from the hotel found us there , this was an oasis to drive into. While a beach with its black sand isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, the hotel had lovely gardens leading down to a pool and lawns on the edge of the beach. Rooms were quite a way from the road so nice and quiet. Staff were so friendly.
We had a very pleasant meal in their restaurant the first night, and the next night walked along the beach to Lovina for a meal. Prices for accommodation and food were much cheaper than the southern side of Bali, and we wished we had more time to spend there.

Bit of faded glory and too much crowded with Dutch tattoos

We wondered what had happened here? At first sight the resort is a lovely small village resort with nice bungalows. A bit outdated, but okay, although the noisy airco is I think from 1976....
Small swimming pool but okay. We tried to have a swim, but then, all sun chairs were possessed by towels and no people. It was a (too) large group of Dutch people from the type that you do not want to meet in a dark street that possessed the pool and bar. Bit threatening and noisy atmosphere.
I think the hotel should be better not accept large tour operator groups. That might have caused the current atmosphere.
The dinner here was okay. Not delicious but okay.
Honestly, the resort needs a renovation. It was not really value for money unfortunately. Hopefully improvements will be made.
The sunset here was superb!
