Needs a wrecking ball

by Linda329

I stayed here one night for $300! The room appeared to be clean, I will give you that much. But this place is in desperate need of a long overdue, leveling. For the money they are charging! Wow.
The rug was worn out, a beAch resort shouldn’t have rugs! They get wet! The wooden structure was all worn out.

Why such a big kitchenette? No stove. A microwave and an refrigerator. No amenities. No iron, no blow dryer.

I didn’t feel comfy sleeping. My bed was hard as a ROCK, pillows were mushy. That was the only room we could grab on short notice. My husbands bed, was like a trampoline! He didn’t sleep all night. Then I didn’t feel comfortable w no security lock on the door. Just a chinzy door knob, like you would have on your bathroom door!

I think you should demolish and restart! For the prices you guys are charging.

What about the tv? It couldn’t be seen from beds, and honestly, didn’t feel comfortable sitting on that couch. Just me....

Terrible all around...(except for location)

Our family booked this place last minute. It cost us about $320 (with tax) per night for 2 double beds and a pull out couch.

Montauk prices have skyrocketed in the past few years. However, many of these prices come with a renovated room. Not here. In fact, this motel is one of the last in town to upgrade. The price point was ridiculous.

When we booked the room, I got an email and phone call shortly after that our reservation was cancelled because they didn’t have a room for us. Then I got a follow up call saying they could accommodate us after all. Not confidence inspiring. I was also told we needed to bring our own pack and play as they didn’t have one (or a crib). A family motel?!

When we walked into our room there was a MASSIVE wet spot under the pull out couch. It squished when we stepped on it. I let the front desk know and their solution was to put two small heaters on the area. Did nothing. We realized we couldn’t let our baby crawl in the floor since we had NO IDEA wheat the wet spot was. The next morning, housekeeping put towels on the spot. Note the color of the towels in my pic below. What is the wet spot?!???? Gross.

The bathroom was horrifying. I didn’t get pics of it...but just trust me when I say that you don’t want to walk around in there (or the the rest of the room!) barefoot.

The property itself isn’t well cared for at all. Broken blinds in rooms, terrible beds, stained floors, etc. I don’t blame the housekeeping staff...I blame management. It just feels dirty everywhere you go. Maybe single, 20-somethings would be fine here...but don’t take your family.

Granted we were here just to sleep...but at over $300 a night this place should be far better than it is. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Everyone else in town is investing in their properties. These guys need to take note and follow suit.

The 1 star is for the location that’s all. Hotel gets zero stars.
