Overview

Hidden away on eight acres of old growth forest, the six cabins of the Silvertop Lodge are perfect for families looking for a genuine Alaska experience. Each of the log-style cabins is immaculate. You might not find cleaner accommodations in the whole state. Most of the cabins can sleep up to five guests, with the biggest able to hold six. They also come with full kitchens, spacious living rooms and handy outdoor amenities like a BBQ grill, picnic table and a deck. The owners offer great deals on day trips with local guides, so you can combine your lodging with an activity like whale watching, salmon fishing or canoe rentals. It’s a great way to streamline your planning and save some money.

The Alaska Silvertip Lodge is 4 miles east of Soldotna, just off the Sterling Highway, so it’s easy to drive into town for groceries. There are also several restaurants in the area when you don’t feel like cooking. You’ll be within minutes of scenic hiking trails and prime fishing spots, and your hosts will be happy to show you the way. If you have time, visit the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center just south of Soldotna for all kinds of outdoor opportunities in 2 million acres of wetlands, forest and alpine lakes. Salmon Fishing and Cabin Stay in Kenai Peninsula!

by NadiaBrulet

We stayed with Andrea and Jeremy at Silvertip Lodge for 3 days to include guided fishing on the boat with Jeremy. Our guided fishing trips were unbelievable. Jeremy will wake up at all hours to ensure we were the first on the river to claim the best fishing spots. We came home with 85 lbs of salmon fillets after only 2 half days and 1 full day on the river. He was the perfect teacher, considering we are not big fishers and this was our first time in Alaska. The cabins were clean and had all necessities, grills and kitchens for cooking your catch of the day, cleaning stations with vacuum packing and freezers for all the fish caught, firepits for socializing at night. They live on-site which makes it simple to coordinate fishing or get advice on what else to do during your Alaska trip.

Amazing vacation on the Kenai Peninsula!!

What an amazing location on the Kenai Peninsula! I stayed in one of the cabins with my husband and 2 teenage boys for a week. The cabin was spacious and clean. Ours had a new king sized bed in one bedroom and the other bedroom had 2 twin beds. We had a full sized bath and kitchen and a living room to lounge in. There is a fire pit on the property to hang out at after a day hiking or rafting or fishing. Soldotna has grocery shopping and great restaurants just minutes away. We spent a week traveling the peninsula...to Homer, Seward and Hope and the drives were easy to do and absolutely beautiful. Put Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula on your “must see” list and book a stay here! You can then book a fishing trip with Alaska Drift Away Fishing for the ultimate Alaska experience. We cannot wait to return!! We have done a lot of traveling as a family and this ranks among our top trips ever!
