Bring Fido and Fluffy on your getaway to The Apple Tree Inn, an affordable hotel with four pet friendly rooms and free limo service, presumably for humans only. Families enthuse about friendly staff, clean pool and Jacuzzi with pool toys for the small fry, views of Little Traverse Bay from upper floor balconies, and the piece de resistance, a limo and driver! Do tip the driver, who will take you anywhere within a two-mile radius of the Inn, which covers quite a bit of ground in Petoskey, including the Gaslight shopping district.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a meeting nearby in Boyne Falls. Room was clean bed and pillows were very comfortable. Hotel has a continental breakfast but is limited to waffles hard boiled eggs and dry cereal. The only drawback to this stay. Hotel also has an indoor pool and jacuzzi and complimentary limousine service.

First, the positives: it’s dog-friendly and it’s close to downtown. Those are the only good things I can say about it.
I can still smell the raunchy stench of our room weeks after staying there. The carpet was in desperate need of a cleaning (or, better yet, they should remove it in the dog rooms and have laminate flooring). I was terrified that we would all have fleas by the end of our short stay.
There were tiny bugs flying around our room and the AC unit didn’t work properly.
The set up of the room was also odd. The sink was located outside of the bathroom.
The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in nearby rooms and the hallway. And, if you’re lucky enough to be near the elevator, you can look forward to hearing the elevator noises 24/7 as well.
Guests also smoke right outside and of the entrances and we were constantly breathing in smoke every time we came and left the property.
I do not recommend staying here and we will not be back.
