Located on Stone Mountain Lake with gorgeous views of Stone Mountain, the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort provides the ideal home base for families visiting Stone Mountain Park. The hotel contains six types of guestrooms, including five suite styles. In addition, connecting rooms are available, and rollaway beds and cribs are permitted, making it easier for families to vacation together. Guestrooms come with mini-fridges and coffeemakers, with some rooms also having microwaves, so having snacks on hand is possible.
Families staying at the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort will especially love the heated indoor and outdoor pools so the kids can play in the water year-round. In fact, mom and dad can relax in the adjacent hot tubs while keeping an eye on the kids. And, because the hotel is located within the park, families can enjoy all the activities Stone Mountain Park has to offer without having to travel far to take a break at the hotel. The Stone Mountain Golf Club is also located on the hotel’s property, making this a great option for families who love to golf.
The hotel has onsite dining options for all meals, and room service is available daily. Plus, barbecue grills and picnic areas are onsite for those who want to cook up their own family dinners.
Although parking at the hotel is free, guests will have to pay a one-time daily parking fee to enter Stone Mountain Park. At check-in, guests will receive a permit allowing them in/out privileges to the park for the duration of their stay.

Stated here for a conference. Loved looking out the window to pines, the lake, and Stone Mountain across the water. The room I had was newly renovated - and felt modern and well thought out. Mattress was very comfortable. A big step forward from my last stay here 1.5 years ago. Note that renovations are ongoing; not to be complete until Spring 2020.
The hotel was overbooked for the night. I booked and placed a deposit on Marriott's own website. I was told I had no choice and was to be moved elsewhere. I explained I had an event on the premises and needed to stay. Nope. Bottom line avoid this hotel. Poor management in the overbooking. Avoid booking with Marriott's website directly. I got me no priority in who was bumped. I at least would have another advocate to work on the hotel for me if I had used trip advisor or hotels.com etc. I ended up getting a room by asking two salespeople in my group to double up. It was interesting how many people received rooms after they told me it was impossible for me to stay there. I will never stay at this property and all Marriott properties in the future. They broke their promise to me.
