Many of the animals living at this 26-acre wildlife rehabilitation complex were nursed back to health here after being found injured or abandoned. While the attraction once included two elephants, the focus is now on native species and others that do well in the Alaskan climate. It’s an excellent place to introduce small children to wildlife. Current exhibits include snow leopard, polar bear, Amur tiger, black and brown beers, Tibetan yak, Sitka black-tailed deer, wolverines, Dall sheep, reindeer, and much more. There’s also a nice petting zoo. Cost: $12, adults; $9, seniors; $6, ages 3 through 17; free for kids under age 2.
