This UNESCO World Heritage Site was built by Christopher Columbus’ son, Diego Colon, in 1509, making the site the oldest palace in the Americas. Located in the Santa Domino area and near Columbus’ remains at the Faro a Colon, the site houses the Museo Alcazar de Diego Colon, a collection of European art. The palace was restored in the mid-1900’s and features period furniture and art. Self-guided audio tours are available.
