A visit to the Chippewa Valley Museum is the absolute best way to learn about the history and culture of the Chippewa Valley. The restaurant offers hands-on activities and exhibits for kids. Don’t miss “Farm Life: A Century of Change for Farm Families,” a 15-minute movie with interactive features, including stage scenes.

Another can’t-miss? The old-fashioned ice cream parlor! Order an ice cream cone, milkshake, banana split and more!

The Chippewa Valley Museum is located next to the Paul Bunyan Logging Camp Museum; both museums are at Carson Park.


Hours are 1 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. It’s closed on Sundays and Mondays.


Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for kids ages 5 to 17; it’s free for kids under 5.
