Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum

813 S. Atlantic Ave., Ocean City, 21843, MD

Ocean City, Md. is one of the Northeast’s premiere beach towns. While tourists flock here for the summer months to enjoy its beaches and beautiful weather, Ocean City is also a place rich with plenty of history and culture.

The Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum is dedicated to preserving that history. Visitors to the museum may view interesting exhibits about the history of the city’s famous boardwalk and U.S. Life-Saving Service (which preceded the U.S. Coast Guard), along with several others, displaying artifacts from recovered shipwrecks, sands from different parts of the world and a comprehensive history of surfing in Ocean City.

Kids absolutely love the aquarium, where they’ll find plenty of interesting sea creatures indigenous to Ocean City’s beautiful shore.
