Overview

Located on a quiet lake just 5 miles north of the Juneau airport, Auke Lake B&B is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness without getting too far away from civilization. Four of the five large suites contain sleeper sofas to accommodate parents and kids in one room. The large deck, enclosed gazebo and private beach are there for the guests, along with kayaks, canoes and even a paddle boat. You might want to plan a day of your vacation to stay in and enjoy all that the B&B has to offer.

Auke Lake might feel like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it’s only a few minutes off the Glacier Highway, giving you easy access to everything in the area. Downtown Juneau is a 20-minute drive to the south, while the famed Mendenhall Glacier is 4 miles to the north. There are several restaurants around the nearby University of Alaska campus, so you won’t have to go far for a good lunch or dinner. The owners are more than happy to help with recommendations and reservations. With its gorgeous lakefront location and access to water activities, Auke Lake B&B is a great family-friendly choice.

Perfect Alaska Experience

by sandiparrish2019

We loved Auke Lake Bed and Breakfast. Jessica was amazing and the owners were lovely. The bed was super comfy and the view from our room stunning. We loved watching the float planes land. The hike around the lake was excellent. Location is great for getting around Juneau.

A Great Place to Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Auke Lake. It was warm enough to swim in the lake and use the kayaks. Close to Mendenhall Glacier and hikes and not far from downtown. The hosts were friendly and accommodating.
