Bahama Bay is a great resort for families who want to stay near Disney World — it’s only a 15-minute drive away. Villas have two or three bedrooms, full kitchens and multiple bathrooms to accommodate almost any family. Tradewinds Restaurant, a family-style eatery, overlooks Lake Davenport. Mambo’s Bar and Grill offers an outdoor atmosphere. For fun, there are a handful of pools on the property. Kids enjoy a bevy of water-related amenities, including wading pools and waterslides. A kids’ club plans daily, supervised activities involving video games in the game room and pool time.

Stayed with my husband for 2 weeks. Great apartment. We stayed in a 2 bedroom on the second floor. Very spacious but just slightly dated. Still very comfortable though. Could do with more linen though as I had to change the sheets and wash, dry and put back on the same day as there was not enough spares. The staff in the bar and restaurant are great, very friendly and make you feel so welcome. Brilliant grounds that you can walk around and we even saw an alligator in the lake. Plenty of pools. We went in September which was classed as the quieter month which I can say we preferred rather than being too busy. Would definitely go back.

This resort is ideally located for Disney World, a bit further away for Universal Studios, but it's easy to get there. The staff are really friendly and if you want to stay in resort, with a great restaurant, a poolside bar, a lovely beach area, nice pools and hot tubs, or cuddle up after a hectic day round the theme parks, in front of the TV with one of the many free movie channels or sign into your own premium account.
Will definitely return on our next visit to Florida.
