Reviews

Ruined The Holiday!!

by shantelle b

I read the reviews before heading to the property in hopes that the reviews were just pretentious and people just didn't see the peaceful side to Bali. I was wrong, I went in with an open mind and was highly disappointed. The standard must have dropped because I have no idea where the good reviews came from.
First, its too far out, as in no cabs, the shuttle bus was never available, and getting a driver cost $10 in and $10 out of ubud and that was after some serious haggling. the property makes you feel trapped, there are some rice terraces behind the property that you can not see, no motorbikes to rent either as they were all being used and it really is too far away from everything (hotels, transport options, restaurants, shops ect...), nothing is in walking distance.

the rooms were no up to standard. BUGS in the beds, bathrooms, bath, towels, pillows, everywhere. yes the rooms were clean and cleaned every day, but that didn't stop the ants from crawling on my skin every 10 minutes. cobwebs in the corners of the room, cracks in the walls, damages done to the floor resulting in many trips and cursing. the room echos, so any frogs or bugs making noises in the bathroom or outside your room, you'll hear it all night. the safe to store your valuables was not working, not that we needed it.

we did call flight centre to see what they could do or see if they could move us to another hotel, the best they could do was upgrade us. we already had booked the best and biggest room. we luckily only stayed 5 nights and had tours booked every day so being at the property only in the arvo and not all day was a bonus.

the outdoor shower was pretty, but the pants touch you whiles you're showering, which is fine, of there wasn't bugs allover the leaves. you only get one towel each, no hand towels, shampoo, soap, nothing! not even a hair dryer.

we had an allergic reaction to the pool as the chemicals in the pool was so potent.

everything at the property is over prices, more than usual.

upside? it has a good aircon, its secluded, its very pretty and the pool is not freezing. but don't let that think you'll actually enjoy it. It ended up ruining our trip, completely.

Just Not Bad

We came here at december 2018, the location its about 40 minutes from ubud center. we came here at night, and a little bit hard to find it. when we stayed here. the bed looks good but sometimes we scratch maybe there is an ant. the shower quite big. the room have air cont and still cool.
but when we want to go in morning. my wife saw a little snake outside our room. and gone after that. as i remember the pool was green. but the location was not bad here
