Cribs are available upon request. Some rooms have partial ocean views, others overlook the pool or the hotel’s gardens.
The hotel has a swimming pool and a restaurant onsite. Laundry service, dry cleaning, babysitting and car rentals are all available from the hotel. Beach towels can be requested at the front desk. Continental breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi are all offered free of charge. The hotel also hosts a weekly barbecue with live music.
Restaurants, shops, public transportation and a grocery store can all be found within walking distance. Both the airport and cruise port are just a 15-minute drive from the hotel.

The hotel room was ok, had a good sea view. Clean and serene. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast could be better! very basic and basic supplies were limited e.g. fruit and bread
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at The Blue Horizon hotel this year & we will continue to come back.
The hotel is small (60+ rooms), which we much prefer to a huge resort or hotel. Both times we have had the same room & it is perfect for us. A large suite with a full kitchen, pull out couch, dining table, king bed, large bathroom with a huge shower & 2 balconies. And massive closet space!
The pool is small but well maintained with lots of loungers, umbrellas & large covered areas with tables & chairs for those who prefer some shade.
The staff is very friendly & accommodating. It is slow season right now & the bar was out of beer. Bartender went to the small shop on site & served us their supply. The restaurant manager arranged a traditional lunch of steamed fish, beef stew & rice & peas for us one day.
There is constantly someone working to maintain the grounds & it is very pretty.
The included breakfast is a very limited continental of pastries, fruit (usually bananas & apples), cereals, toast, coffee/tea & juice. However there is a full breakfast menu you can order from. As well there are several places within walking distance that serve breakfast.
This hotel is in a great location. It is directly across from Rockley Beach & a stone’s throw from Accra Beach. You can hop on a city bus or mini bus (or taxi if you prefer) & get anywhere quickly & easily from its location. Bridgetown, Holetown, Speightstown & The Gap are all quick & easy to get to.
The Hasting’s Farmer’s market is about a 10 min walk (W, Sat, Sun). Weekdays you can get a delicious Bajan lunch from the lady across the street for a very reasonable price. Look for the white minivan with the back swing door open & the line up of hungry locals & in the know tourists!
There are free laundry facilities (you’ll need your own detergent, etc). Just ask at the front desk for the key.
Several grocery stores within walking distance to stock your kitchen if you want to prepare some of your own meals or stock your own beer & rum!
It is the Caribbean so people do not move at the same hectic pace as at home (you’re on vacation, relax!) but if you ask for something, the staff will do all they can to accommodate you.
