Beautiful Blue Waters!!

by colettemary1

From the moment we arrived the feeling of being welcome was over whelming! We were greeted with a cold flannel and fruit/rum punch, which after a long flight was most needed. The porters took our luggage to our deluxe sea view rooms, two rooms as with teenage daughters which were interconnecting via the balcony. The view from our balcony was just beautiful. Fully re-stocked mini-bar (as part of all-inclusive) and Elemis toiletries in the bathrooms, which includes a roll top bath are nice luxurious touch. Plenty of mirrors but a full length mirror in the rooms would be my only suggestion for any improvement. Once dressed for dinner it is nice to see your whole outfit and not just the top half.

During our stay we also got married in the Wedding Gazebo which was so special and intimate. Cameron, Hospitality Manager was amazing in ensuring every detail was thought of and we were not disappointed. The Wedding Gazebo was beautifully decorated and we also enjoyed our wedding dinner in the Gazebo in the evening. Massive thank you to Cameron and the team for making our day so special and to Celeste in the Spa who did an amazing job of mine and our daughter’s hair!

During our two week stay we ate in the Cove twice which was lovely but we did prefer Bartleys which was Asian and the restaurant is air conditioned. The Palm restaurant was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast had a good choice from cearl, fruit, pastries to pancakes, hot buffet and an egg station for made to order requests. We also ate in Carolyns three times which serves lovely flat bread pizzas, wraps and salads. Veronicas bar is open during the day and Joe made some amazing cocktails!

During our stay we hired a car and took a trip to Stingray Island which was a great experience...highly recommend. Stingray's are actually very gentle. We also explored the island of Antigua. We didn't get to Shirley Heights but that will be on the agenda the next time we visit Blue Waters.

Also, thank you to Kevin, General Manager who is always visible, chatting to the guests and ensuring everyone is enjoying their vacation.

There is also a shop at the resort, which sells most things you may have forgotten and the lady who runs it is lovely and so friendly. In fact all the staff were really friendly and clearly enjoy working at Blue Waters.

Although we were very sad to leave, I know we will be back...hopefully for our first Anniversary. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with no loud music and poolside games but a chance to chill, take in the beautiful grounds and enjoy great food then I can't recommend Blue Waters enough!

MY HONEYMOON EXPERIENCE

Lets start off by saying this "resort" will put you to sleep with its nightly so called entertainment ( there is none). My wife and i had to spend so much money on excursions because we got tired of staying in the resort. You feel like a robot with all the timing. 3 restaurants with the same food each night. On the plus side STAFF WAS GREAT. I would not recommend this place for lively vacation stay. Way too overrated, the bartenders didn't know how to make the same drink all the time and there was not too much beach area. We did not enjoy this resort at all. I would not even give it 1 star! THE BEDS WERE HORRIBLE. KING size = two twins put together, also felt the springs in my back.
