The Best

by ChrisNicholson1967

Just returned from a 3 night break at the Britania and I could not recommend this hotel enough. It is perfectly positioned in the city, near enough but far enough away from traffic noise etc. The staff were very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. And the room was a good size, well appointed and with a bath! The breakfast selection was all of good quality, especially the fresh fruit salad, with a good range of pastries etc. All in all I cannot fault anything, which is a great position when so many places fall short in the pursuit of profit over customer satisfaction.

What a find!

Our travel consultant booked us into this hotel due to its central location. It was just off the main shopping avenue in the beautiful Lisbon. The hotel is an art deco building, faithfully maintained and fitted out. Staff were very helpful, respectful but friendly. The room was spotlessly clean, contained high quality toiletries and very comfortable. A thorough buffet breakfast was provided, complementary port in the bedroom, and drinks at the bar in the front lounge area. Light evening meals e.g. a salad could be requested in the evening. When we return to Lisbon we will be looking to return to the Britania Hotel.
