Overview

Located in downtown Ottawa, this hotel is walking distance to many city attractions and offers several complimentary services, including Wi-Fi, breakfast and Movie Network movies. Parking does cost an additional fee. Amenities include a fitness center and a free continental breakfast that includes made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, fruit and cereal — or grab a Breakfast-to-Go bag. The onsite restaurant, Maclarens on Elgin, serves lunch, dinner and lighter fare. Every suite in the hotel comes equipped with a full kitchen, including full-size fridge, stove, coffee grinder and brewer, microwave and even baking dishes. Suites also include a business center with a computer, printer and Wi-Fi. The suites best suited for families are the Executive, Signature and Two Bed Suites, which feature queen, king and queen sofa beds. Rollaway beds, highchairs and cribs are available upon request. Kids 12 and under (up to two) stay free. Be aware, the required deposit is hefty.

Good breakfast - rooms are spacious and clean - nice location in town...good eateries all around

Have stayed here several times - with the availability of a kitchenette you can avoid an expensive meal out if you so choose. Beds are comfortable and clean - good eats just downstairs and if you enjoy playing pool they have billards as well.

Overall very good value for the money.

Nice 1 bedroom suite, including 2 TVs, king size bed, computer with printer. Very good value for a reasonable price.
My only issue was with the complimentary breakfast. It doesn't start until 7am. If catering to the business crowd, this is too late in the day to be starting breakfast. I'm out of here by 6. It would be nice if they at least had a self-serve breakfast (i.e. toast, cereal) where people who are here to work.
