Our New Favorite Place

We can't say enough good things about the hotel and staff at the Cabana Shores. The staff members are so friendly and helpful. The ocean view is fabulous with nothing obstructing your view. The rainfall showers are marvelous. We will never stay at any other hotel in Myrtle Beach.

Great location, lobby

The positives are that the location is great; great access to the beach, ocean, etc. Beautiful and updated lobby, pool area; great seating area around pool. Hotel staff very nice. Negatives: I know they are still renovating, but the "barn door" to our bathroom, which was very heavy, came off the track and the only way we could use it was to open or close it VERY SLOWLY. The shower head fell off the shower onto my husband's head during his shower -- it was pretty heavy. The furnishings had a LOT of nicks and scuffs, kind of looked beat up and it was supposed to be newer. Could not open the door to the closet because it was too thick and was stopped by the mini fridge. After calling the front desk about the barn-door issue, they came then to fix it & said we needed to move rooms because they didn't want it become a dangerous situation; and even offered us a ocean front room. When we returned to our room to move our belongings we were greeted by the manager who said they fixed it by taking a door of off another bathroom so we didn't need to move. When I got to our room, the bathroom had dirty handprints all over the walls where they had apparently been working on the door. They just didn't seem to care much about how the rooms looked. Kind of like putting lipstick on a pig.
