The Celilo is a pretty little independent roadside motel inn looking out over the Columbia River and The Dalles bridge. Families with love the Family Suite that features a king and a queen bed, mini-refrigerator, microwave, iPod dock and pillowtop mattresses, while kids will enjoy the seasonal outdoor mineral water pool and cinnamon rolls at the continental breakfast.

Mom and dad will want to know that there’s complimentary wine at check-in and a patio with fire pit to unwind at the end of the day’s adventure at The Dalles Dam Tours, on the 12-mile Riverwalk jogging and bike path, white water rafting, and checking out the Mount Hood views hiking around Sorosis Park. While grown-ups will appreciate that all guests receive a Passport to The Gorge for free tasting at local wineries and museum discounts, kids will love the 24-hour hot cocoa (coffee and tea, too) in the lobby.

Will Return Again!

by Vickie6767

A very welcoming place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed and then some. Staff were welcoming and helpful. They steered me to a wonderful hike, recommended places to eat and provided navigational tricks for The Dalles. Breakfast was yummy. I felt safe at all times; the neighborhood was quiet. Celilo Inn was easy to locate by using Google. The room looked out over the river and is well worth the couple of dollars more. I hope to return in January to watch the eagles fish while sitting in a cozy place.

The motel is pet friendly, has a decent breakfast offering (fresh baked waffles; hardboiled eggs, bagels, fresh fruit, etc...), fabulous views over the River, freindly and helpful staff, and close to the downtown without being in downtown. The room was adequate with the usual coffee and tea offering in the room. There was a large TV that we didn't use. The bathroom was not great, but completely functional. I would stay there again.
