Overview

Three miles outside of Tok are five unique log cabins that feel like they’re right out of the history books. The largest of them, the Trapper’s cabin, is ideal for a large family. It contains two separate bedrooms with two queen beds, one single bed and a full size pullout sofa sleeper. Kids will love the spiral staircase leading to the upstairs bedroom. Downstairs is a spacious living room and a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. The cabin is surrounded by acres of forest, providing a peaceful oasis from long days of driving. A hearty, country-style breakfast of reindeer sausage, blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit and more is served in the main lodge dining room, or you can choose to have it brought to your cabin for a more leisurely meal.

The cabins of Cleft of the Rock are a few miles west of Tok on the Alaska Highway. You’ll find several restaurants in the downtown core, including the popular Fast Eddy’s, which serves up everything from gourmet burgers to halibut filet. Pay a visit to the Tok Visitors Center to learn about the geology, wildlife and history of the area. You can also find maps pointing you toward local nature trails in the Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge and to the swimming beach at nearby Moon Lake. With its unique style and beautiful location close to the highway, Cleft of the Rock B&B and Cabins will make some great memories on your big family vacation in Alaska.

Scrumptious, homemade complete breakfast and the cutest cabin!

by Texas055

Our cabin overlooked the woods from our oversized wooden porch and chairs. We cooked on the small barbecue grill and relaxed outside. Inside the walls are adorned with oversized glass windows, a small refrigerator and small microwave and tv. Comfortable full sized bed and small clean bathroom. The owner prepared homemade breads, cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, hot coffee, juice, milk, homemade quiche. Additionally the owner was kind and easy to speak with. Tok is not much to speak of but this cabin was a welcome surprise and a nice stop on our journey. We loved this sweet cabin and especially the homemade breakfast! Easy, easy check-in/out.

A very nice stay

A few kilometers out of town you find the cabins in the forrest. Check in was easy and we had a quiet and cosy night. Breakfast is served family stlyle in the house of the owner and was very good. I would go there again.
