Good Value for Money

by Philip918

My group visited the resort at the tail end of the ski season, so we weren't too surprised by the poor quality of the snow on the slopes. The plus point was that by then the resort was fairly empty , we had empty slopes to ourselves and no queues at the chair lifts. We had good snowboard instructors to help us improve our techniques.

Club Med certainly fed us well, we enjoyed varied and sumptuous meals & drinks for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The GO's were all very friendly and accomodating. We found the cabaret shows quite entertaining considering they were helmed by the GO's doubling up as entertainers.

1st Club Med

I have interned before in Club Med Cherating Malaysia during my time as a hospitality student and had great memories of the facility and activity therefore signed up for this trip when sis ask me to join her in Club Med Yabuli.
We booked transport with Club Med Malaysia as it seems the best option to get to & fro there although really expensive. We waited for the driver at the agreed spot at the airport and when he did not see us, Club Med Yabuli gave us a call.
When we arrive for check in, the receptionist was really great and gave us a quick intro and lead us to our room. As half the day was gone, we decided to ski the next day instead. We watch movie at the Forest Bar then went to rent ski equipment (btw 6:30-8:30pm). Ski or snow board with poles/boots are charged RMB380/day while helmets at 80/day. Ski suits (180) and knee pads(50) are also available of needed.
Daily meals are provided in the buffet restaurant-Apple Garden while you can book for special hotpot dinner in Mudan restaurant if you start queuing for reservation before it starts at 12:30pm on the day itself.
In the room itself, 3 cans of soft drinks, 1 instant noodle and 2 bottle of water is provided in the mini bar. Room and bath is spacious but the air-con temperature cannot be control, therefore throughout our stay we were actually feeling hot and stuffy.
We could still enjoy snowboarding on the 1st day but the 2nd day you can see that there we barely any snow left, afterall it was end of the season. We had to stop on the 3rd day and use this day to relax in the resort instead. We receive a letter at our door to inform us to prepare payment for tomorrow's check out by 9pm.
On day of check out, our vehicle was already waiting to send us back to Harbin.
