Overview

Costa Dulce, which means the “sweet coast” in Spanish, is an eco lodge that features beach and jungle views. The eco-friendly resort was entirely built by hand as well, no machinery was used to construct the hotel. No televisions and no air conditioning will be found in the 11 bungalows so families are truly living among nature where your neighbors may be monkeys, iguanas or turtles. But the views will be amazing no matter where you look from inside your bungalows. Families will love being near the beach and can enjoy things like surfing, paddle boarding, yoga, hiking and turtle releases. Packages are available that can include breakfast as well.

Becoming a surf dad

by Wrff30

Honestly, going in blind, trusting that a small backpack and a Visa card is all I would need.
Blown away,
ACCOMADATIONS.. were jaw dropping
FOOD..homecooked,delicious and abundant always went back for more.
SURROUNDINGS... peacefully perfect
STAFF.. made the trip, all of whom felt like family, and more than willing to go the extra mile.
SURFING.. the waves were great, the instructors were patient and gave us all the time in the world. Freddie & Will & Chukie ????
YOGA..OMG.Thx Monica
SPA..literally hit the massage everyday...AWESOMENESS..gotta try the chocolate body scrub. Courtesy of Octavia

It's one of those places you want to tell everybody about, but then think twice....because you want to keep the gem to yourself.

A wonderful and restful visit

Had a 3 night stay at this beautiful retreat/resort. We had one very hot day, and there is no air conditioning. So we retreated to the bungalow, sitting under the fans to try to cool off. I'd pick my time going there to coincide with the less tropical weather. But, the bungalow is open to the sea, and it is a unique and quaint accommodation. I'd go back to the same room again, happily.
The food is interesting, but vegetarian more often than not. I'd like a little more meat in the diet. Having said that, the food is VERY healthy and fresh and locally procured. And, the food was actually delicious. The home made food, and especially the deserts, were very tasty. The breakfasts were also especially good and generous. I actually looked forward to the meals, which are served family style.
The property is a surfers' and yoga practicioners' dream. We don't surf or do yoga, but so enjoyed our stay. Altho a little difficult to get there, it is very worth being there. Would gladly return to Costa Dulce for a restful retreat.
